Save the Date for
Opera Conference 2023
May 17–20, 2023

Join OPERA America and Pittsburgh Opera in the city of bridges, Pittsburgh, PA, for the largest gathering of opera administrators, artists, trustees, and advocates at Opera Conference 2023. Featuring four days of networking, discussions, panels, and performances including We Shall Not Be Moved and Denis & Katya.

Registration opens on November 1.


OVI and Opera America enjoyed Opera Conference 2022 in Minneapolis/Saint Paul May 18-21, 2022.  In a weekend of networking, workshops, and socializing both opera professionals and volunteers meet to share important information on the state of the art.  OVI was given a special 2-day pass specifically for sessions and events for and about volunteers, but OVI members could also signup for the entire conference.  Heading up planning for OVI will be new Board member John Kupris (left), whose long experience in non-profit management and with Minnesota Opera made this an exceptional weekend.Johnn Kupris, 2022 OVI Conference Planner  John hosted an impromptu tour of the Twin Cities and arranged special events for OVI attendees.  Many thanks go out to him for sharing his wealth of knowledge and warm welcome to his home town.

Jani has 20 years of executive-level leadership experience providing marketing strategy and management services to help businesses accelerate growth. For over a decade, Jani has supported senior executives at one of the largest technology consulting firms in the world with crises management, speech writing, podcast and book promotions, blog development, social media management and many other services. In addition, Spede PR serves as the public information officer for the National Association of School Resource Officers and provides marketing services for San Francisco Opera Guild.
