“Songs by Heart”
Dani Kiel and Scott Filstrup of Tulsa Opera, share their program, “Songs by Heart,” which uses classically trained singers to assist in measurable improvements in memory, Alzheimer’s, dementia, and overall wellness,  Scott elaborates on the impact of vocal music on health, and the research on vocal music’s effects on healing. “Songs by Heart” was presented at Opera Conference 2024 in Los Angeles.
 
Scott Filstrup is past president of Tulsa Opera and current Chair of Tulsa Opera’s endowment.
Dani Keil is Chief Operating Officer for Tulsa Opera.
